Meet the Assistant Principal
Hello! I’m Toshia Blue, Assistant Principal at Freeman Elementary. I am proud Carrollton-Farmers Branch Alumni. I attended Good Elementary, Perry Middle School and graduated from R. L. Turner. My family and I are deeply invested in CFB as my son, Calvin attends Newman Smith, and my daughter, Carolynn attends Polk Middle School. One of my sisters and my mom work for the district as well and my niece attends Blalack. We are a proud CFB family and have been for decades. We are a big sports family and you will see me all over the district cheering them on!
I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Dallas with a Business degree and later completed my Masters in Education for Teacher Leadership at Walden University in 2019. I’ve had the pleasure of working in education since 2005, working for both the private and public-school systems for all grades. I started my career working as a PE teacher and Athletic Director for a Dallas private school and then went on to teach a multitude of different subjects and grade levels. Most of my career is with middle school teaching math and social studies. I stepped out of the classroom 4 years ago and became a Math Interventionist and Academic Specialist. My last two years prior to joining the Freeman family were served at the administrative level as an Administrative Liaison and Testing Coordinator.
I am blessed to have met and worked with so many great teachers, administrators, and staff throughout my years in education. It’s an honor to be an administrator here at Freeman Elementary which allows me to support families, students, and teachers by meeting their needs socially, emotionally, and educationally while they are here.
I am extremely invested in our young minds success and the growth of education. I’m excited to be back home in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD.
