Dr. Dallas Horne
Dr. Dallas Horne has dedicated over 17 years to the field of education, with a diverse career spanning various leadership roles across multiple school districts. He began his journey at Life School in Oak Cliff, where he served as both as a teacher and coach for four years. His passion for student success led him into administration, where he spent five years as an Assistant Principal—three at the middle school level and two at the high school level. In the last 8 years, Dr. Horne transitioned into principal roles, beginning with two years at Midlothian ISD as the principal of Alternative Education, overseeing both the DAEP (Disciplinary Alternative Education Program) and LEAP Academy. He then spent six years as the principal at the elementary school level in Corsicana ISD, where he focused on fostering a positive and inclusive school culture while promoting academic excellence. Currently, Dr. Horne serves as the Coordinator of Professional Development for CFBISD but has taken this role as Principal of Freeman Elementary. He aims to empower educators and staff, facilitating growth and ongoing learning to support student achievement. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Horne is a dedicated family man. He and his wife, Brittany, have been married for 15 years and are proud parents of four children—three daughters and a son. He is passionate about soccer, running, CrossFit, and good coffee, among other things.
